Vina, who is familiarly called Mama Ina, confirmed that the rumors about breast cancer were not true. “Just now I asked Gilang, what exactly was the cause of death. Many say breast cancer, which is a big mistake. So, I clarified a little that it doesn't exist,” she said.
According to Ikang Fawzi's brother-in-law, Gilang Ramadhan, Marissa's departure may have been caused by fatigue due to her extraordinary enthusiasm for work. “Maybe she was over-energized so she got tired. Even though she was 60 years old, her spirit was like that of a 40-year-old,” Vina added, describing how dynamic Marissa was.

The sad news was first conveyed by music observer Adib Hidayat through his X account. He wrote, “Deep sorrow for the passing of Marissa Haque, mother of Chiki and Bella Fawzi, wife of Ikang Fawzi. Passed away early this morning at around 02.00.”
Her daughter, Chikita Fawzi, also expressed her sadness via Instagram, “Has passed away to the grace of Marissa's mother, my mother. I ask for prayers.”
